On Saturday, fire once again took center stage, as beautiful works of art emerged from the ashes of the kiln. Each one revealed its own unique surfaces, colors, and unpredictable details—the result of the fire and the unique path it took inside the kiln.
The day continued with various alternative firing techniques, such as Obvara, Raku Horsehair, and other experimental processes. Sometimes the fire left distinct marks on the clay, and other times the result was a pleasant surprise that no one could have predicted.
Amid the smoke and the constant fluctuations of the fire, a space for experimentation, discussion, and sharing was created. A two-day event where ceramics served as an opportunity to come together, try something different, and enjoy the process together.
