“The Forms of the River” at the Peneios Festival

During the Pinios Festival, “Forms of the River” was presented, an exhibition featuring works created by students from our ceramics studio.

At the heart of the exhibition was the nymph Daphne, daughter of Pinios, who was transformed into a tree by her father to save her from Apollo’s pursuit. Our own Daphne gradually transformed throughout the days of the festival, becoming part of a living, evolving process. Each visitor was invited to leave their mark by adding a leaf and contributing to the nymph’s transformation. The exhibition’s Art Book was also presented, bringing together the artworks and the artists’ thoughts and reflections behind them. Presenting the exhibition as part of the Pinios Festival offered another opportunity to share our love of ceramic art and local history, while encouraging a deeper sense of respect and care for the natural environment.
